Harrisburg Diocesan Council of Catholic Women
Our Church Commission encourages the women of our diocese to become educated and dynamic through experiences of faith formation, worship, and prayer. Catholic women are called to be disciples, sharing personal witness and service to their families, their church and to the world.
OBJECTIVES:
- Reach out to other Catholic women in your parishes through spiritual activities and invite them to your CCW meetings and grow in faith together. A phone call or personal invitation can make a difference in another woman’s life, blessing both you and your new friend.
- Always include Marian Devotions in your Council activities. Encourage your members to attend Holy Mass as often as possible and spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
- Invite them to attend the HDCCW Convention in the spring and the HDCCW Women’s Weekend Retreat in the summer where they will meet ladies from other parishes and share their strength and hope and memories with each other.
- When you plan an event in your parish and district, invite the women from around our diocese to join you.
God has a plan, and He may choose to work through you when you least expect it. Pray, hope, and don’t worry. Enjoy the work of Our Lord. Enthusiasm is contagious.
